- GCU / Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) joint exploration agreement (33% / 67%) is directed towards identification of Rare Earth Element (REE) resources in Malawi, under wholly owned JV subsidiary, Spring Stone Limited, Malawi, Africa.
- Exclusive Prospecting License granted to JV in Mulanje District of Malawi.
- Mitsui Mineral Development Engineering Co., Ltd (MINDECO), in Japan, has been contracted as the operator of the program.
- NI 43-101 Technical Report published (December 2011)
